                                                         Watch Log - Commander, CDF - June 5, 2009

Three days ago, the Battlestar Nemesis BSR-23 encountered a Fleet of 3 Cylon Baseship's. Responding to a distress call in the area of Nebula 16A, the Nemesis was incapacitated within minutes. Due to major battle damage sustained during the attack, the Nemesis had to be evacuated immediately. One hundred twenty six Colonial Officers made it off the Nemesis in Vipers, shuttles, and Raptors. Four hundred and sixty one, did not. The Nemesis broke up within thirty four seconds after the ship was evacuated. Explosions caused a chain reaction which ignited tylium supply lines throughout the ship. One Cylon Baseship was destroyed. The two remaining Baseship's jumped to an unknown location.

Immediately following the explosion and attack, a Cylon Baseship jumped into range of the survivors of the Nemesis. The Vipers and Raptors prepared to engage the inbound Baseship. While en route, the Cylon Baseship surrendered, reporting that they had numerous injured Cylons aboard. They wished to speak with the Commanding Officer, Vice Admiral Caparrella.

Vice Admiral Caparrella's Raptor landed on the Cylon Baseship. He was escorted to the CIC of the Cylon Baseship. He was told by a 3, 6, and a 4 that they were attacked by the same Fleet which attacked them. The Cylon's have rebelled against their own. They told Vice Admiral Caparrella that they feel the attack on the Colonies was a mistake, and that they are seeking asylum with the CDF.

In exchange for asylum, the Baseship Cylon's agreed to give command of the Baseship over to the Admiral, along with all his officers. Due to limited supplies and the current threat of the Cylon's returning and destroying what was left of the Nemesis crew, the Admiral agreed.

I feel the chance is too great, not to have the opportunity to learn more about our enemy, and have an alliance with these Cylon Rebels. According to them, there are more Cylon's that feel the same. The question is when and where will they appear, and how long will this alliance last.

Vice Admiral Caparrella will lead this new alliance by commanding the Baseship Nemesis CAR-01 (Cylon Alliance Registry-01). All Viper and Raptor Squadrons are to be transfered to the Baseship. All Raider and Heavy Raider Squadrons will be assigned numbers as needed.

All rebel Cylon officers and Centurion Divisions will be under command of Colonial Forces.
